Online Sex Education Book Club

A Safe, Supportive Space to Explore Sexuality Through Reading

The Sex Education Book Club is a gentle, inclusive space to deepen your understanding of intimacy, relationships, desire, and self-connection through books.

Just like my Silent Book Club, this isn’t about homework, required talking, or keeping up a certain pace. It’s about showing up for yourself and allowing space to grow, learn, and reflect — with the option to share if you’d like.

    Structure

    Frequency: Monthly

    Duration: 90 minutes max

Group size: 6-12 people, keeps it cozy

    Format: Virtual via Google Meet

      How It Works

      • Bring Your Book
Choose a sex-positive or intimacy-focused book that feels meaningful for you. (Need ideas? See our recommendations below.)

      • Gather Together
We’ll meet monthly either online or in person. Cameras and mics are optional.

      • Read in Community
Settle in for 45 minutes of silent reading time. The power is in showing up and giving yourself intentional space.

      • Optional Sharing
After reading, you’ll be invited (never required) to share a reflection, a favorite quote, or simply listen to others.

      • Gentle Closing
Each session ends with a grounding prompt and next steps.

      Each Session Includes

      Welcome & Grounding (10 min)

Light mindfulness or check-in to center the group.

      Silent Reading (45 min)

Camera and mic off for focus

      Integration & Close (30 min)
Discussion, Journal prompt, or suggested practice before next session.

Why We Charge a Small Fee

We ask for a $5 contribution per meeting to help support the care and intention that goes into creating this space. This small fee allows us to:

          • Create a consistent, calming experience with thought-out structure, reflection moments, and optional discussion.

          • Hold space with purpose, making it more than just reading time—it’s a gentle, community-centered self-care practice.

          • Foster commitment and help participants feel more invested in showing up for themselves and others.

          • Cover admin time and tools, like registration platforms, reminders, or curated resources shared during the session.

We believe that everyone deserves a cozy, mindful space to connect and reflect—and we want to keep it affordable and welcoming.
